Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 June 2026

This policy explains what personal information Hello World Prints collects when you design and buy a birth poster, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little.

Who we are

Hello World Prints (“we”, “us”) is operated by 1UP Media AB, Brunkullavägen 8, Växjö, Sweden, org. no. and VAT available on request. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected]. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

  • The details you enter to make your poster — the baby’s name, date and time of birth, weight, length, and place of birth. You choose what to include.
  • A location lookup. When you type a place of birth, we send that place name to Open-Meteo’s geocoding service to get its coordinates and time zone — needed to draw the correct night sky. We don’t send any other detail with it.
  • Your email and payment, when you buy. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Stripe passes us your email address and whether the payment succeeded, so we can build and deliver your order.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. To understand how the site is used we collect aggregate statistics (page views and anonymous product events such as “someone opened the editor”) via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless, and Google Analytics, which sets a first-party cookie (_ga) on this site only, used solely to tell returning visits apart in those statistics. We can’t identify you from either, all advertising features are disabled, and the data is never used for marketing. Stripe’s own checkout pages may set cookies necessary for payment and fraud prevention.

How we use it

  • To render your personalized PDF and make it available for download.
  • To provide support, re-issue a download link, or process a fix or refund.
  • To keep records we’re legally required to keep (e.g. for tax, via Stripe).

We never sell your data, and we don’t use it to market unrelated products.

Where it’s stored

Your order — the details you entered and your email — is stored in Cloudflare’s key-value store, and your finished PDF in Cloudflare R2, so you can re-download it. Our site and server run on Cloudflare. Stripe and Cloudflare may process data in the United States under standard data-protection safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your order and PDF for 12 months so you can re-download it, and keep payment records for as long as tax law requires. After that we delete the personal details. You can ask us to delete your order sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about your order, or object to our use of it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re in the EU/UK and unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

A poster is about a baby, but the information is provided by you, the adult purchaser. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
